The innovative mobile proof of delivery application developed with NVD, a major player in the Irish motor industry, is currently in testing phase. Six of NVD's truck drivers are currently using the new POD software on their delivery rounds. Subject to successful testing the system will be adopted by the remainder of the fleet. The system, developed in C# using the .net compact framework utilises mobile devices with integrated 2D bar-code scanner, digital signing and camera along with GPRS technology to collect and deliver vehicles to dealers nationwide. The system uses GPRS to transmit vehicle details back to the server.
