| In
accepting the award Liam said that he was delighted
to accept on behalf of the company. He thanked the
sponsors and adjudicating committee for selecting Dataworks
as it is always nice for a business to receive an
award, particularly one that focuses on Business
Excellence and Customer Service. Liam continued on by saying
that Dataworks has a clear focus on customer service and on
building long term relationships with their clients. Liam
concluded by thanking all of Dataworks customers
without whom they would not be receiving the award. He also
thanked all the team at Dataworks for their
excellent efforts and contribution to the award.
Following on with more awards Dataworks was delighted
to hear that one of it's customers, Waterford Institute of
Technology's Mergo (Tourism) Network had
been shortlisted for a Net Visionary Award for "Educational
Contribution" by the Irish Internet Association.
The Mergo team headed by Anne-Marie Frampton has been very
successful in using technology to bring it's members closer
together.

Looking
back at 2007, it has been an extremely challenging
and successful year for Dataworks. We have completed
some large software projects in a variety of sectors
including general manafacturing, life sciences, pharma, food
& beverage and environmental monitoring. The projects
touch on several business functions and enabled us to continue
to develop software solutions using the latest .Net technologies.
Application deployments included a mixture of desktop and
web, both on PC's and PDA's.Another
highlight has been our expansion of our SPC and OEE
offerings based on WInSPC and the Iconics product
suite. The projects have been extremely important for our
business development and we are in the final phase of rollout
of two large Plant Performance Monitoring applications. These
applications offer our customers significant
visability and cost savings. We have also enhanced
our WinSPC/PDA based data collection application and have
successfully deployed this in another installation in the
life science sector.
